This position is remote and open to all over the country, but you'll be required to visit our offices in CDMX or GDL on the first day (expenses are covered by you)

As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for:
Support key accounting functions including financial reporting, audits, reconciliations, and budgeting. This role works closely with managers and contributes to daily operational decisions through accurate and timely financial data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Keep our general ledger updated and make sure all accounts look correct.
- Prepare journal entries and help keep financial records accurate.
- Update the chart of accounts when needed.
- Reconcile (double-check and match) all bank accounts every month.
- Review and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable monthly.
- Create and review monthly financial statements to confirm everything is accurate.
- Help managers understand the financial reports they will present to their Boards.
- Assist with audits, budget preparation, and suggest ideas to improve our accounting processes.
- Support other accounting tasks when needed.
- Understand how to read, prepare, and explain financial statements.
- Take part in the budgeting process and understand how reserve funding works.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Standard: 10:00 - 19:00 Mexico City time
Daylight Saving: 09:00 -18:00 Mexico City time

- Min. 50 Mbps Internet Speed
- Bachelor's in Accounting.
- Around 2 years of experience as a General Accountant, Staff Accountant. General Ledger.
- Strong Accounting terminology in English.
- Experience with Accrual and Cash accounting.
- Experience with preparing and reviewing budgets.
- Strong typing skills. (40 to 45 wpm)
- Advanced Excel.
