This position is remote and open to all over the country, but you'll be required to visit our offices in CDMX or GDL on the first day (expenses are covered by you)

As a Staff/General Accountant, you will be responsible for:
Helping manage the monthly financial process for a group of communities and make sure all financial information is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial reports for a portfolio of communities.
- Review and reconcile bank statements each month.
- Look over financial results and create simple summaries to explain them.
- Keep an eye on bank balances to help prevent issues and make sure funds are available.
- Handle bank transfers and help process investment requests.
- Enter journal entries into the accounting system when needed.
- Create and update budget templates for your assigned portfolio.
- Enter annual and mid-year budget updates.
- Update any assessment or fee changes for the communities you manage.
- Keep electronic files organized and up to date.
- Follow company procedures for all accounting tasks.
- Work closely with the Property Management team and support them as needed.
- Communicate with vendors to solve accounting questions or issues.
- Attend required team meetings and trainings.
- Meet all deadlines and stay on top of assigned tasks.
- Respond to emails and phone calls within 24 hours.
- Complete special projects or tasks assigned by your manager.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Regular: 10:00 am to 7:00 pm CDMX time.
Daylight saving: 09:00 am to 6:00 pm CDMX time.
Minimum requirements
- An English CV is required
- Min. 50 Mbps Internet Speed
- 1+ year(s) experience in similar positions, preferably in the Property management/HOA industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- History of performing under deadlines and pressure with accuracy
- Basic knowledge of the HOA industry (preferred but not required)
- Background in exceptional customer service
- Demonstrates clear written and verbal communication skills
- History of multi-tasking with attention to detail
- Proven self-starter who can manage time effectively
- Desire to assist all clients (internal and external) in a professional and friendly manner.
- Advanced Excel.
