What You'll Do
Lead and Support:
- Mentor junior team members, offering guidance and solutions for day-to-day accounting challenges.
- Provide coverage across AR, AP, GL, and cash management during absences or peak periods.
- Participate in the month-end close process monitoring progress in AR and AP and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Prepare monthly financial summaries and assist with financial analysis upon request.
- Oversee corporate receivable balances, review AR aging reports, and manage collections for former or exiting clients.
- Handle payroll pass-through billing and respond to inquiries from internal partners and board members.
- Administer the corporate credit card program, including new card issuance, reconciliations, account maintenance, and issue resolution.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of corporate vendor contracts.
Client & Office Onboarding:
- Set up new clients in the accounting system, review contracts for billing information, and ensure accurate initial invoicing.
- Manage accounting setup for new office locations (rent, utilities, and major contracts).
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Support the Controller in preparing annual budgets and projections based on leadership input.
- Help design and implement new accounting processes, systems, and tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and strengthen internal controls.
- Draft clear documentation and procedural guides for accounting processes.
- Serve as a trusted liaison to leadership, resolving corporate accounting issues.
- Support ad hoc financial projects and special assignments as needed.
Schedule: Regular: Monday to Friday 10:30 a.m.- 7:00 p.m. Mexico City time / Daylight Savings: Monday to Friday 9:30 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. Mexico City time
*This position is remote, but you'll be required to visit our offices in CDMX or GDL on the first day (expenses are covered by yourself)*

Minimum requirements
- Bachelor's in Accounting
- 4-5 years of experience in accounting role
- Understanding of GAAP Principles
- Adaptable to change
- Strong English written & verbal skills
- Experience with NetSuite preferred
